For five years, agricultural production in the Rostov region increased by 33 percent

For five years, agricultural production in the Rostov region increased by 33 percent
This was announced at a meeting on socio-economic development in the State Duma of the Russian Federation by the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Rostov Region Konstantin Rachalovsky.
On October 22, during the first meeting of the parliamentary group on the socio-economic development of the Rostov region in the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the current state and prospects of development of the agro-industrial complex of the Don region were considered
The Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Rostov Region, Konstantin Rachalovsky, presented a detailed report on the situation in all sectors of the Don agricultural sector, the tasks that confront it and the measures to address them at the federal level.
So, it was noted that over the past five years, agricultural production has been growing annually. In 2014, products totaled 191 billion rubles, in 2018 - 255 billion rubles. One of the components was an almost twofold increase in grain production.
“This is the result of constant work to comply with the structure of sown areas, as well as the annual agricultural cultivation of varietal change and varietal renewal, the active use of elite seeds, the use of mineral fertilizers,” the head of the Don Ministry of Agriculture emphasized. Land reclamation work is ongoing. In five years, 26 thousand hectares of reclaimed land have been commissioned due to reconstruction, technical re-equipment and construction of new reclamation systems. ”
Konstantin Rachalovsky also noted that success in crop production was achieved due to an increase in the energy supply of production. So, over the past five years, agricultural producers of the region purchased almost 5 thousand tractors and 3 thousand combines, which allowed to renew the tractor fleet by more than 16% and the combine fleet by almost 26%. 1.5 billion rubles were allocated from the regional budget for the modernization of agricultural machinery from 2014 to 2018.
Speaking about the development of livestock, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Don, said that in such traditional industries for the region as livestock and sheep, there are positive trends. The meat stock increased by 27% and amounted to 125 thousand heads. The program for the modernization of dairy farms in 2016 - 2018 allowed enterprises to increase the level of technical equipment. The productivity of the feed cow has increased. In 2018, it amounted to over 6,000 kg of milk.
There has been a positive shift in the structure of milk production towards an increase in production by agricultural organizations and peasant farms. This category of farms increased production compared to the level of 2015 by 4%. This, in turn, increased the level of marketable milk and the loading of milk processing enterprises in the region.
“In general, the volume of production is sufficient for the needs of the region and ensuring food security,” summed up the reporting part, Konstantin Rachalovsky. “In addition, it should be noted that in the Rostov region, the price of bread, which belongs to the group of socially significant goods, during the period under review remains one of the lowest in the subjects of the Southern Federal District.”
The Don Minister also noted that in the agricultural sector of the Rostov region annually attracted within 35 billion rubles of investments.
During the discussion of the implementation of national projects, it was noted that by 2024 the export of agricultural products should reach 7.7 billion US dollars, and more than 1,100 people should be attracted to the small rural business system.
The meeting also addressed issues that need to be addressed at the federal level.
“The issue of the possibility of restructuring the debt of agribusiness enterprises on loans and borrowings for a long period of time remains relevant,” Konstantin Rachalovsky addressed the deputies. - The lack of an appropriate legislative framework does not allow manufacturers to resolve the situation with credit institutions in case of problems, bypassing bankruptcy proceedings. Such a development happened on those implemented investment projects in the poultry industry - Eurodon, White Bird, Donstar. The situation can be changed for the better by the restructuring of debt to credit institutions - and for the long term - up to 15 years - by adopting an appropriate federal law. In general, this will prevent the bankruptcy of enterprises, ensure social stability in the countryside and channel funds to modernize agricultural production. ”
